This tour will guide you along silk routes of Central Asia from Uzbekistan to China through Kyrgyzstan.

  • Day 1 Tashkent
  • Arrival at Tashkent. Have a walk around the city and visit the State Art Museum. Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Tashkent, Uzbekistan??™s capital city is the largest in the country, one of the most cosmopolitan cities and an important business center in Central Asia.
  • Day 2 Khiva
  • Fly to Urgench and transfer to Khiva. Sightseeing tour. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Khiva is a ???City-Museum???. There is a legend that Khiva was fouded during the time when, Shem, one of Noah??™s three sons, found a treasure here. His people called this place Khivak from which modern day Khiva took its name.
  • Day 3 Bukhara
  • Drive to Bukhara. During the sightseeing tour visit the ancient Silk Market, ???Trade Domes???. Overnight at a hotel.

  • ???Bukhara-i-Sarif??? - noble and sacred??? is one of the numerous epithets awarded to this ancient city. Great poets of the East in the IX-X centuries (such as Rudaky, Dakiki, and Firdousi) devoted examples of their work to the city.
  • Day 4 Bukhara
  • City tour of Bukhara. Overnight at a hotel. Sightseeing tour. Overnight at the hotel.

  • It is said that the ???History of Bukhara??? had been already written by the tenth century. First period of the existence of the city was depicted in the national epics and numerous legends. The Great Silk Road, connecting China with Europe via Iran passed Bukhara.
  • Day 5 Samarqand
  • Drive to Samarqand. Sightseeing tour. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Samarqand is one of the most ancient cities of the world with a history which stretches back over 2750 years, and the city is of the same age as Rome, Athens and Babylon. It occupies a strategic and advantageous geographical position on the Great Silk Road. There are magnificent examples of medieval architecture preserved in Samarkand, striking in their shapes and rich colors.
  • Day 6 Tashkent
  • Flight to Tashkent Continue sightseeing of Tashkent. Overnight at a hotel

  • The city??™s history stretches back over 2000 years. The ruins of the Minguruksk??™s hill and feudal castles, with two walls and huge towers, testify to its respectable age. The Uzbek word "Toshkent" means "stone settlement" and the city grew up on the site of a settlement with a similar name where mountain roads crossed, and played the important role in the trade between the West and the East.
  • Day 7 Bishkek
  • Fly to Bishkek. Short tour around the city. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Bishkek cannot claim to be one of the largest cities of the world such as London, Paris or Moscow, but, nevertheless, the capital of the Kyrgyz republic attracts visitors by its parks, museums, galleries and theatres.
  • Day 8 Lake Son-Kul
  • Drive to high mountain Lake Son-Kul. Have a walk or horseback riding. Overnight in a yurt.

  • Son-Kul Lake is a beautiful lake located on a high-mountainous plateau (3016m). In summertime shepherds bring their livestock to the pastures and establish yurts on the coast of the lake. A yurt is the typical dwelling of nomads made from felt, wood and leather and is thought to symbolize a life.
  • Day 9 Naryn
  • After lunch at the lake drive to Naryn. Overnight at a guest house.

  • Naryn is the administrative center of the Naryn region of the Kyrgyz Republic. Although far from the border it still counts as a small frontier town, as it plays host to the local garrison border guards. Hidden in the mountains it stretches along the banks of the fast-flowing river with the same name.
  • Day 10 Tash-Rabat
  • Drive to Tash-Rabat and visit the caravanserai. Walking or horseback riding. Overnight in a yurt.

  • The caravanserai at Tash-Rabat (XI century) served as a fortress for travelers on the Great Silk Road. It is a carefully restored stone building. There are some theories that the caravaserai was not only a place for rest, it could have also been a place of worship, and served to protect the caravans going to China or back, both against a bad weather and bandits.
  • Day 11 Kashgar
  • Drive to Kashgar. Overnight at a hotel.

  • The traveller Marco Polo (1298) said about Kashgar the following was told:- ???It is like an eastern Cairo, with mountains of goods, and people as bees???
  • Day 12 Kashgar
  • In Kashgar. Visit the Sunday Market. Overnight at a hotel.

  • The main sight and magnet for the majority of tourists is The Sunday Market.
  • Day 13 Urumqi
  • Fly to Urumqi Visit the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Urumqi is the main city of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China. It is situated in the heart of the Eurasian continent on the northern slopes of Tian-Shan mountains, Urumchi in the ancient Mongol language ???Djungar??? means - ???The fine pasture???.
  • Day 14 Heavenly Lake
  • Visit ??? Heavenly Lake??? Have a walk or horse back riding along the lake. Come back to Urumqi. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Heavenly Lake is 115 km to north-east from Urumqi. This lake is situated in a hollow in the Tien-Shan mountains at an altitude of almost 2000m above sea level.
  • Day 15 Turpan
  • Drive to Turpan City tour of Turpan. Visit Turpan Museum, park, Emin minaret. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Turpan is a small town in 150 km to a south-east from Urumqi. The indigenous population is Uigur, and the basic industry revolves around the cultivation of grapes, and everythign connected with them. Turpan and the Grape valley are actually 80 meters below the sea level.
  • Day 16 Jiaohe
  • Visit ancient city Jiaohe, the Flaming Mountains and the Caves of a Thousand Buddhas. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Jiaohe was constructed over 3000 years ago and is the most ancient city in Turpan hollow. The hottest sight can be ???Burning mountains???. The temperature here reaches up to 60?‘ and above. In the Flaming Mountains there are the Caves of a Thousand Buddhas. Frescos in the caves of thousand Buddhas tell about the spread of Buddhism in the Turpan region.
